March blooms (2015)

March is here...what succulents do you have blooming?
Not much for me, just this euphorbia - had many blooms whole winter long (actually, never stopped blooming).

    • Mammilaria gracilis

    • Mammilaria sp.

      That's it for this week..

Sweet! Echervaria flowers are so nicely varied. Yay to the notoflower for being first.

Palmbob, thanks so much for ID'ing the plants - I will label them using pencil this time, as the indelible ink I used before was not so indelible - at least not in sunlight. I was especially curious about the Kalanchoe synespala, and I had not idea it was a Kalanchoe, although I did buy it at a succulent sale at the L.A. County Arboretum a couple of years ago from one of the vendors. I like the way it jumps like a spider plant, and I have about three of them now, but it is very slow growing, which can be a plus when space gets crowded.

Here is a late blooming aloe in my front yard. Most of my aloes bloom around January, but some are on a different schedule.

I'm on my second flush of blooms on my TCs. Must have been the cold spell we had. Didn't we discuss the cold's effect on the color of the flowers? Well this has been a little curious. I hope you can tell the color difference by these pictures.

In December my peach TC bloomed nicely, a lighter, pinkish peach -

And now it is blooming again, with a more intense color, almost orange -

There's always something to surprise us, right?

Succulentlife, I'm a little jelious of the Mammilaria gracilis... that's awesome! Mine hasn't changed size in two years. It's just three tiny thimbles though.

Crenda, very pretty peach TC's! I am a believer in temps change them. My white TC I got from Walmart in November... it was in the unheated outdoor section for at least one night and I think it caused the pretty light pink.

This TC below just finishing up blooming. It was on a drafty windowsill and has a pink neck...

Well, not exactly succulent but very pleasing to the eye....IMHO. This doesn't flower frequently and I have had nicer looking flowers in the past but still nice. Not certain if it is fragrant. Also, I don't keep up with names so.....

The Ledbourias seem to be happy too.

Rina, all my Sans are pretty happy. I will have more flower pics in the coming weeks. They just haven't opened yet. I just noticed that open cylindrica today.

The spikes look like a squirrel's tail:). Are they in full sun?

And I like Ledebouria too - hope I can find it one day!

    Rina

Rina, not from seed, but I do have a cross of this growing from seed. Too small for flowers

WOW Palm bob, it is pretty fine. We are just coming out of the fog here. 2nd day of sunshine. I am weeding like a Mo Fo. this damp winter has made every wildflower, weed, invasive KR bluestem grass pop.

Here are a couple of dewed on freeze burned Aloe humilis. The Aloe longestyla survived great but the flower stem froze. I will know to protect it better.

Palm Bob , Issdr, someone, please, please, purty please ID this first aloe. I have grown this and put it forth for IDing at all stages of growth except for blooming. Someone ID this aloe.

This one is easy peasy, Aloe variegata.

First plant looks like Aloe chabaudii

All I have to say is Holy Crap!@!! Wow

Palm Bob, Thank You. Could be !. There is a lot of variability in the things I see on the web. flower color difference. This one has been very solitary so far with no pupping. I need to give it a larger pot this year.

These are a whole lot of fine pix.
@palmbob- is that second to last pic of yours really an Oreocereus species or a dachshund begging for a treat?

OOOOH that hoya is fine, fine fine!

Well, technically it's April 1st here ;) But here's my unidentified cactus blooming. The first blossom came out in March though so i'm not cheating! (If you could tell me what this is, i'd be so grateful since it's one of the few cacti i have). A haworthia retusa and kalanchoe humilis bloomed but aside from the surprisingly long stalks, the flowers were nondescript.

Hey everyone I have bumped up my April blooms thread!
