Type of Wire for Espalier?

So I've got a tiny (6 trees) fruit orchard that i've planted, and I have the support posts installed. I'm trying to figure out what the best support wire would be, and looking at all the articles online, all it says is 12ga/14ga galvanized wire. When I look this up at Lowe's, or amazon, it's mostly that really pliable hobby wire. what is the specific wire that I should be getting for my baby trees to grow up big and strong, and not have their branches break from the weight of the fruit in a few years?

    12 gauge is really heavy. I use it on a 100 foot run and commercial orchards at over 400.

    14 gauge (14 gauge is thinner than 12) should be enough. Just make sure that it is galvanized otherwise it will rust badly.

    Look up Kencove Fence at kencove.com or Orchard Valley Supply at http://www.orchardvalleysupply.com/ for an idea as to how these trellises get built.

    You need to get you hand on some fasteners. Look up Gripple on Google or at Kencove.

    I started using 12 gauge monofilament wire which I find easier to work with.
