We're trying to modernize our ranch house and would love to update the
landscape. We recently put in the ipe side wood fence and have added
modern touches with light fixtures, etc. Would appreciate any advice on
what to do particularly with the landscape on the side where the big bow
window is. We pulled out a bunch of overgrown plants and just aren't sure what to do now. There's a long river bed from the previous owner that we
have to keep. We love the look of river rock, pea gravel, modern

plants. There's also these 2 ditches (wood hatches for sump pumps- left of window and near river bed) that are eye soars that we need to somehow cover up. We thought about building a small deck small deck over it, but not sure. I think we may need to add some smaller trees in the middle section (pic 3) to add interest? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
