I agree. Satin Nickel cabinetry hardware will look more elegant that black and blend well with your stainless steel appliances. Stainless steel hardware is less seldom used as it is more costly and has a smaller variety to offer; plus stainless steel hardware is often very contemporary in style. Black hardware is apt to show more wear than satin nickel and the options to select from are limited. Cup pulls? - I think your kitchen is better served with a combination of pulls and knobs.

knobs will cheapen the look of your cabinets. I highly recommend some form of handle. and if you're going to have a black counter, I actually think black handles might look better. bright stainless steel on yellow oak sounds very unappealing to me. you want the yellow doors themselves to pop, not the hardware that's on them.

Ikea has some nice black handles, and they're very reasonably priced. since everyone on this thread seems to have a differed opinion I suggest you go pick up a few packs of one's you think you might like and sort of 'try them on' so to speak. they generally range anywhere from $2-$10. and you can return the ones that you don't want.

while you're grabbing samples, try some simple arched nickel or stainless pull -- I think it would go well with your appliances et al. maybe you can pick up a high-necked kitchen faucet at the same time in the same tone. :)

I don't think cup pulls will work with the panelling on your cabinets. I recommend knobs or handles

Love the floor! I picked a very similar dark brown plank floor to go with my oak cabinets. we added Pompeii granite and SS sink and faucet. I have black appliances that will not be replaced until they break. I think you should add the hardware last until everything else is completed then decide what you really want. I'm sure it will be beautiful. Please post a picture of your completed project. Good luck.
