Seeing it set off on the cream ground is interesting, but fabric wise I think maybe a pale gray to let the petals pop out. Although I'd lay them on some strong solids like red or turquoise to get a look too. Oh...how about a pale blue...sorry. choice overload ;-)

I think a white with a teeny geometric print of another color may look nice for the background. I love Black and White quilts, but I think you need to add something unexpected color-wise.

Experiment, and post the pics of your choices.

I was going to suggest the white background with an added pop of color somewhere. To that extent, I really like the idea of a white-with-colored-print as a choice. It would be a subtle addition of color if you didn't want a striking addition of color that a solid background would give.

Oh, I like what you have there already!! I think it's a nice assortment of black/white fabrics.

I like the idea of a white background fabric that has a very subtle pattern also in black. I would add a mini border to add a pop of color. Either way beautiful. I love what you have so far.

I agree it needs just a pop of color. Perhaps scattered around, or a white with some color in it.

Love that pattern, I like a white or lite gray background and as someone else suggested, a few petals in a bright would really add to the overall effect.
