can I use these in a gas fire pit?

Is there any reason they couldn't hold up to the heat of a natural gas fire pit? Using an H-burner.

    I think the concern with any item in a fire pit is if it will hold water . If so the headed water can cause the rock to crack/explode. Not sure about these, but be careful
