Unknown Week's rose

Just bought this from a nursery that sells no tag roses. When I asked where they get their roses I was told from Week's Roses. The rose is phototropic (changes color under light) and goes from dark pink inside to red outside with a small yellow center.

Guess that's what happens when your as obsessed as I am! LOL Glad you were able to get a positive ID.

Sure is gorgoeus with those dark edges. I hope someone can ID it.

Looking in the Weeks 2015 catalog, it COULD be "Dick Clark", but we would have to see newer blooms to be sure.

Oh yeah, that could be it Diane. I haven't had my DC long enough to know what it's characteristics are yet.

No, I have Dick Clark and it looks very different from this rose. DC is never that pink.

Mine is always very yellow with bright red edges.

Well, Beth wins again. Posted over on the Rose forum that Kublakan was able to get an ID from the nursery and it is Mon Cheri!

It's well out of patent now so they could be.

Hmmmmm.... I have a Weeks wholesale catalog at work. I'll have to take a look. But I think they do (or did) carry MON CHERI. Being that it was intro'd by Armstrong, I'm pretty sure Weeks would've had it at some point.

Beth - The owner of the nursery gave me a Week's catalog circa 2011 and Mon Cheri was in there.

Yeah, I thought they had carried it. I looked on their wholesale website and don't see it there now tho.
