Hubby and I have a disagreement over the color of a new kitchen cabinet makeover. We've already hired someone (comes highly recommended), but cannot agree on color.

The only lighting coming into the kitchen is from the South and West windows. There are ten windows plus four two story windows covered with shutters. During the day it's a little dark in the kitchen in spite of all the sunlight (because of the darker honey oak cabinets).

Husband wants them a darker brown with a white-ish island and I think they should be the opposite with white cabinets and darker colored island. Please offer advise. We are in the process of changing out the old appliances to stainless steel.
