You COULD ignore the wall of the breakfast bar. Not sure about the brown glass with your countertop. Too yellow on my monitor. The idea is good- is there one with more gray?

I live your choice of backsplash but it's too much with your countertop. I recommend subway tile without any accent. Sorry!

Marilynellis is right! Too busy with the busy (and drop dead gorgeous!) countertop. Never put busy against busy....they clash and neither look good. Maybe you could use that tile as an accent in your bathroom???

Love your countertop! I definitely recommend keeping your backsplash simple with subway tile and no border. I think the border would compete with your countertop.

Thanks for the suggestions. Alex, I'm not sure I understand your comment about wall tiles. It seems the standard wall tile I am seeing is 4"x8". I have not seen any as large as 24" or 36". Are you referring to floor tile when you talk about cutting the tile?

Sooze, I also thought of Grey! I considered going with a grey subway backsplash but thought with the grey walls I may have too much grey going and if grey tile is anything like grey walls, I would be in trouble as grey takes on such different color in different environments. And no, I haven't seen any of the glass tile in grey:)

No accent stripe of brown glass, you don't have the room. It's not needed and it will be too busy. Simple subway will be so very elegant with your choices!

Hi Lisa, sorry about that. The tiles that I am referring to are of European design and may not be available everywhere. They are from factories like Porcelanosa in Spain. They look like large format tiles for floors but are actually thinner and made specially for walls.
