I have an old well the is 4 foot around. It is 10ft deep with water at 7 feet. I have two 8x3' garden boxes some distance away. I have a riding mover with a 12v battery.

What I want to do is build a water trailer that will suck the water from the well into a tank, Then pump water from tank into a watering system I have yet to come up with at the boxes.

My idea was to use this Spot sprayer

I would like to re purpose the pump to suck up the well using the lawn tractor as the power source. It says these pumps can self prime up to 8 feet. Then you would turn of a couple valves and the pump would then suck from that tank.

Would this be ideal or would i be better of with a second 12v pump in the well? I am open to suggestions.

Would this pump be better suited with a drip line or a sprinkler/mister system mounted on the garden boxes?
