guest bedroom/study combination

I am building a 4000 square foot lake home that will be our permanent residence, and need a study and a guest bedroom on the main floor. We will only be using the guest bedroom a few times a year, so in order to save square footage, I either need to combine the bedroom with built in desk/bookcase (maybe with interesting windows opening to front of house), or else make a small computer niche area that would open off a hallway, possibly with barn-type sliding doors, or French doors. Can anyone offer advice or suggestions as the best way to accomplish my goal? Thanks!

Murphy bed would be a handy in this situation for those occasion uses.

Thank you for your quick reply! I agree with you about the murphy bed, except I already have a really nice vintage style king size bedroom set that I want to use. I am building a fairly upscale lake home, and will need a large downstairs guest room for those occasional times we have out of town company. But, knowing the room will likely be used less than 10-12 times a year, I would like to incorporate a built in desk/bookcase area around the windows looking out into the front. But, because it is going to be a fairly nice guest room, I'm trying to find examples of built in desk/bookcase/cabinetry that would work for a upscale rustic lake home. Thanks for your help.
