I like bright colors...thinking of buying a white sectional and a glass table, then adding red, blue and yellow cushions and perhaps a chandelier?

Oh okay! Now that we know your "starting point" we'll have better suggestions. But, please trust us. A sectional in a small space sucks the space and life out of a room. I like your white sofa with bright accents idea, but scratch the sectional idea. Rarely (yet possible with a floor plan to show us) does a sectional work in a small space. Maybe a small sofa with chaise?? Photo or floor plan?

HI -- The best thing for a small room is to not have too much color contrast . Having the walls and furniture close in the same color tones possibly in the light neutrals and adding different textures . And no clutter .Fewer small décor items for a few choice larger ones . Then you can add some color accents in the cushions and art etc. Keep the furniture style very tailored and smaller scale with small squared arms .
