Best lens for photographing Orchids ?

Hello. I would like to have recommendations if you would be so kind as to the best lens for a D SLR that is effective for hand held out door orchid photography. I want to have intensely close up images. I have an f 2.8 100mm fixed that works well; but I'd like to get even more magnification and detail than it affords. Thank you. Susie
