Yes - providing those particular wild strawberries taste of very tart lemons and take the enamel off your teeth. Sorrel is quite acidic. I'd never describe it tasting like strawberries, wild or otherwise.

Yeah, to describe it as tasting like wild strawberries is a bit of stretch, to say the least. At most it's an outright lie.

I agree with the comments. But, I love sorrel and now I'm curious as to how they even got there to that association. Mine should be sprouting soon--soup time!

Wild strawberries are the tiniest little bits of sweet ambrosia that you would ever want to taste. Tinier than a woman's fingernail, they would have to be awesome to do all that work to pick them. And they are. Sorrel is also mighty tasty though less so, if you have to compare. But no where in my universe do they even fall into the same grouping. One is sweet and the other sour.

My wild sorrel doesn't taste at all like my wild strawberries..you would never confuse the two, unless you only have sour taste buds left.

I had a little look at the seller's website. They are offering cherry seeds and describing them as prolific and sweet.

I wouldn't buy anything from them.

Thanks everyone. I thought I remembered wild strawberries as being sweet though its been years since I ate one. I'm not that big on sour so I'll give sorrel a pass. As far as that seller, I'm with you, floral. Haha, get your cherry pits here?!!
