My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

How expensive is it to replace the existing below-grade small window with a full size window?

    A lot goes into determining the cost, such as type of foundation, amount of excavation, window type etc. In general when we are finishing a basement space we would tell people to anticipate a cost of anywhere between $3,000 - $5,000 to create an egress window under an existing structural window opening.

      Love this look! We just moved ( http://www.greeneconstructioninc.com/egress.html) and have a small egress window in Minneapolis but would also like to replace it with something bigger. If there is already a window there and I want to replace that how much would it cost?

      you must put a railing around the top - I had a friend fall into a window well once - not good!

      You are correct - code dictates safety issues and will require railings for certain conditions with egress window wells. This photo was taken to showcase the product - as you can see from the grading, it is not a finished product!
