On the move

I read that this house is on wheels. How do you make it sturdy and safe to move and how hard is it to hook up to a truck or vehicle? This would be lovely for visiting relatives during winter months here in Illinois when warmer weather would be great. Thank you.

The house is permanently attached to the frame of the trailer with threaded rods and hold down connectors - same as you would use on a wood frame foundation. I also consulted with a structural engineer during construction and with an architecture degree, I'm familiar with building codes for permitting. The house is built according to Department of Transportation standards so it's built to withstand highway travel.

That is just awesome. I know living simpiler in our day and age is not popular but when I think of my husband and I and what is truly important, such as family and friends and helping others...this would be my first choice. Very inspiring.

Beautiful home! The design and video is inspiring. What do you use as the cover for your patio deck. It's very attractive. I was wondering it was a material designed to withstand the elements.
