I think the blue of the drapery and throw would be a nice accent but not with a heavy textured or patterned wall paper. Add a couple pillows in the same solid color. A small oval or sunburst mirror could echo the night stands. Your walls need some art in frames that fit with you other decor. Choose subjects you enjoy with some of the colors of the room.

I found a Louis bench for $170. It sure is nice. Might blend in too much with the bedspread. One thing leads to another, doesn't it? Best price I have seen for one though.

you could change the shades on your lamps to color similar to the color of the blue throw on the bed.

I would not put anything above the headboard.

erasistible, I would frame it and hang it. also paint a couple for above your nightstands. They are very good. That is exactly what I mean by hanging some art that means something to you. I would also get some wallpaper and create a "wall frame for the bed"

I would do a texture wallpaper painted in the color of the wall. tone on tone.

Sadly, the bench is too deep for my small room. I will worry about the bed wall then see If I need to change the bedding. Then I will upholster the bench is something that will look nice against the bedding.

Everdebz I don't think there is any navy. Just a darker grayed blue.

It's funny how one person likes something and another person doesn't. It's all input to help me decide. If I used the wallpaper, do you all think the bedding should go? Would that be because of the pattern?

It looks like the common opinion is against mirrors, but I really think a golden sunburst mirror is the way to go. I think it would be a lovely addition to tie in the metallic-ish curtains, the gold holdbacks, the mirrored nightstands, the gold chandelier, and the gold and white lamps. I just made a silver sunburst mirror, below, was super easy, if you made that in gold maybe on a smaller scale, I think it would be the perfect complement and tie-in.

The wallpaper is shown as a closeup. Might look different from more of a distance. I will order a sample and see.

First please change the pillows. I have a feeling the bed looks weird because of the pillow covers are the same as the cover. one more layer of color, the artwork, and I think you are done. try first, pleeeeeeease!

I would change the wall color to cashmere grey by Benj.Moore.
Paint ceiling cloud white. Change curtains to a natural linen color.
Take down flowers. Do large picture above bed or pretty wallpaper.

I could switch them. I just liked the blue against the headboard. I will get some Euro pillows for the back, then place the shams that match the spread, and top it with my bed pillows.

Curtains stay. I had to hire the painting done so it stays too.

I have some taupe-y ones but I don't like the way they look against the headboard. What would you like for me to set up and I'll see what I can do.

Remove throw and maybe solid shams. If you add a beautiful dot of a mirror you might not need new bench.

Yes the blue accent pillows will make quite a difference. Sort of draws the eye toward the great headboard.

I am on the HELP SAVE THE ORIGINAL BENCH side. : ) Something about it seems special.

I do think it can be refinished and really work well since it is the right size for your room.

maybe painting the bench and adding a bench cushion.

your room is fine and I really like the flowers. I'm always afraid if I hang something above the bed, it may fall on me! I would remove the breakfast pillow and throw on the bed and bring in another breakfast or small oblong solid pillow (and maybe throw) with that blue color. No more patterns.

I am leaving for work in a few minutes. I am going to see about darker blue pillow cases. I am also going to replace or recover the lampshades. I am considering a bedscarf instead of the throw. I may also put fur on the bench. Getting ideas for making art to hang where the wall pocket is. NO MORE PATTERN. Ha! You all have a groovy day

I love your lamps shades. did you look at the gold pillowcases I posted? that will go with the glam

I never liked the shades very much but they came with the lamps. They are the same motif as the lamp base. Too much of a good thing. I don't think gold goes with my bedding. But thanks!
