No, I had it but lost it over the winter. It is very, very difficult to grow, at least for me. When I posted a photo of it, I immediately had several requests for it. So if I can find a source, I will let the Forum know.

Nice to know it's one of those pains in the butt :) I rmember it was pretty but hadn't seen it. Sometimes they are rare for a good reason. Kind of reminiscent of Rose Bouquet? Or at least the photo. I got that once and it cured me but maybe I had a bad one.

Thanks for your comments, Diana! I once tried to track down Rose Bouquet. So it is helpful to know it was difficult to grow. In general, I do not have much success with the dainty pink, heavily variegated plants or the all-white blooms on variegated plants. However, I am finding tat the Apaches give a lot of satisfaction, easy to grow, nice blooms, consistent, with enough variegation to be attractive, but not so much that they are too fussy. After fussing over Ann and Pink Feather, and losing them both, I have gotten over my urge to grow that type of AV. I even grew Southern Delight for years, a large, pale pink very full double or triple. With shiny foliage. Then, one day, both pots keeled over and died.

The blues and purples seem much stronger. Do you have some "must have" favorites that are easy to grow in your collection? You have mentioned the Manitoba by Optimara, which is very good, and the original Harbor Blue, perhaps also by Holtkamp, and Happy H and Cricket for the light blue categories.

I am pleased with Optimara MyDelight and Connecticut. They fill the bill for a light pink with no fuss or bother, blooming heavily and often. I grew the vintage plant Chanticleer for a while, it was lovely for a long time, but this winter, it developed two very small crowns. Not attractive.

I do try to keep them going, because after spending a small bundle for them in the mail, and all the time and trouble of sending for them, it seems easier to try to restart from a leaf than rethink if I want to reorder, then find out if it is in stock, remember who I bought it from, etc.

Optimara is so customer-friendly, with their new cello sleeves on the pots that detail plant care, their constantly updated websites, and so many locally grown, heavily blooming varieties in local stores, I have become a fan. Especially for decoration purposes. Joanane
