This is a picture of my above ground pond. The pond is covered by two tarps and the 100 gal stock tank with a spill way is also covered in the picture. The air temperature on the day this picture was taken was 10 degrees. I keep the 3600 ph pump running year round and the spill way never freezes. There is no ice what so ever on the pond under the tarps and we have had below 0 temps several time this winter. I rebuilt the pond last fall. My old above ground pond was a little smaller then this pond and was 14 years old and was made from railroad timbers. I built this new pond same location and used the same 100 gal stock tank spill way.
