Just cannot make decisions ragarding my floors!

Our home is builder grade. Everything. We cannot replace everything, but we definitely need new floors! The home is trimmed out in honey oak. Yep...late 90s home. We can repaint as well. The dining room and kitchen have oak floors. Thinking of just new carpeting (easiest) or putting in new hardwood. Not a hug budget so not solid. Any ideas? I am crazy confused.

If you're unhappy with the oak floors because they look too 90's, but in basically good shape, here's a post I wrote about my friend that I encouraged to do this fun treatment to her oak dated floors and it has held up for years, and still looks great! Then you'd have money in your budget for something else! ;) Hope it inspires you too! Liz
