Yes. I have done 2 chairs and they turned out awesome. I used bm wall paint. Feels like fake leather. I plan on painting my dining room chairs in a couple of weeks. I did this one a few years ago. it was pink. I painted the back red an the front white and then let my son decorate the front. This photo was taken before I painted the back. I think you should put wax on it after its dry and it will soften up and feel like leather.

This is the other one I did. First is before and second is after. I added a stencil to this one. painted bm dark brown on back and white on front. I love it and my guests are shocked when I tell them it's painted fabric. This was done about 7 years ago and still looks great. This fabric is a bracode. I think thats what its called. It is a raised, sort of embossed fabric.

Thank you! I have a chenille fabric recliner, do you think that would feel the same or would I need to do something else to it? By the way they both are beautiful!

Can you post a photo of the chair you want to paint? My guess is it works well on chairs that have a tightly pulled fabric. Does that make sense? So a chair with a lot of access fabric would be a bad match I think. The last chair that I did has a slouch chair seat it makes the process a bit more difficult. The weight of the paint will make it more slouchy and makes it feel like it needs a fluffier foam insert.
