I'm beginning to decorate our home & starting in the living room. It's a small house built in 1920. Problem is shape of room. It's a narrow rectangle. What can I do with the walls to make it seem less like a corridor. I'm pretty open to any type of paint &/ or wall treatment ideas. My style is kind of a mix of romantic/cottage. I like most colors, though I tend to prefer whites, pastels, or brights. I'm not a big fan of dark colors in large doses. I want my home to feel cheerful, charming, fun, & relaxing. Any ideas?
