Is the mounting ring for a vessel sink supposed to be visible? We had a beautiful vessel sink installed in our powder room but the mounting ring is very visible and We think it detracts from the beauty of the sink and think it looks ugly. I've checked photos here on Houzz and most of the mounting rings are not visible. I should add it's a round sink (see photo). We welcome any thoughts/comments. Thank you!
