I say to ho white! Will make a mor impressive look and the ceiling will look like a high raised ceiling. Go for it!!

I have the EXACT same type of soffits. I painted the walls once color (Renovation Hardware Latte) and the soffits are the color of my trim (Sherwin Williams Summer White). It looks fantastic. Painting them the same as the walls can sometimes make the room look top-heavy. In this case, trust your painter. Good luck!

Paint is an easy fix if you don't like it. Just be sure you have the formula for the paint on the walls so you can match it if you aren't happy with the white.

Paint the soffit the same as the walls--it's a vertical surface so consider it an extension of the wall. If you go white you bring the ceiling down because of the contrast between the white and the wall color.
