With two walls on this space, it seems like it's needing something. If I do hang something, which side do I hang it on? Right or left?

I'd put up a couple of tall, narrow panoramic pictures of things you're interested in there.

First figure out your furniture and placement. Looks like you have either a hallway or recessed area to the left. Then this about dressing the walls. My first reaction is to dress only the angled wall, especially since the hallways will need some attention too.

My upholstered pieces will be pale blue, with white coffee table and end tables that hold wicker baskets. This angled wall will be behind them. I was wishing to have a recessed open bookcase with the back wall painted pale blue but our walk in closet is behind that and it wouldn't be deep enough for larger items. Only 4 inches at the max. I can see which wall you are referring to, Barbara, to accent. Flooring will be hardwood and the black granite countertops have been installed. Hallway to the right leads to the front door, so there will be a table along that wall. Hall to the left leads to our master bedroom. I appreciate all your ideas!
