An option would be to remove the glass block wall, turn the sofa toward the windows, add a long low storage unit under the windows, place the TV between the windows, move the storage unit next to the kitchen in line with the one next to the bathroom door and adding another storage unit to fill the wall, removing the glass panel, running the kitchen to the corner, taking out the center wall, and adding an island for additional prep, storage and eating space.

Dear sooz001, the problem is that the center wall contains three ventilation stands, which are connected with all stairway neighbors and can't be moved. The closet near kitchen was designed as a hall closet for outdoor clothes. The glass I thought would be a good option to divide hall and kitchen areas (in case of cold wind stream coming from the stairway). I liked your the idea about the low storage unit. What about TV, if the center wall stays in its position? Also turned sofa I think may create a corridor, because of the center wall and the pathway will be winding. What about this situation?
