A bit tricky - lots of possibilities. Maybe Campanula persicifolia???? But that' s just a guess.

I am growing C. americana from seed, and did notice that this leaf is somewhat similar. Supposedly, C. persicifolia is not very heat tolerant, and I wonder if it would have weathered our hot and humid Carolina summer.

The leaf reminds me of Oleander, though the plant shape is nothing like it.

I guess I'll pot it up, and hope it blooms.

My first impression is Stokesia laevis (Stokes aster).

I just did an online image search, and it sure does look uncannily like Stokesia laevis. I will be quite pleased if it is, since that's a native plant here in SC.

I just repotted it, and the roots were pretty amazing. I was going to split it up into 2 pots, but had to go for 3. And if it is Stokesia, those puppies are going in the ground (where I try not to plant spready non-natives).

The above photos were of 6 plants that were left after I potted up 4 of the smaller plants together. (The 'one' on the far right was/were actually 2 entwined plants.)
