My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Ipe questions

What was used to brighten and/or clean the deck? We are in Pgh and have similar looking ipe after several months of exposure. Going to try Penofin instead of ipe oil this time...thanks.

    Kelly, we used and followed the Penofin system plus a little extra. We started with the Penofin Step 2 Wood Cleaner, followed up the after drying with Step 3 Wood Brightener (both highly concentrated and depending on condition of the IPE will require scrub-brushes and a lot of elbow grease or on your hands and knees scrubbing). Finish coated with Penofin For Hardwood for Brazilian Rosewood (bronze label)
