What a pretty, springlike quilt they will make.

pretty blocks! I cut my fabric yesterday, but I think there might be a small glitch in the pattern instructions...didn't have time to figure it out, but it seems like it might just be a typo regarding color number six?? Anyway...it's where the pattern calls for a 4 1/2 by 18" strip...I think!! Just wanted to put in a 'heads up'... I'm probably wrong....tend to jump the gun, but it just seemed odd and I did not cut according to directions!!!!! Oh me.

Thanks, Theresa. That's what I figured, just that it seemed the color numbers were mixed. Also, I thought the HST around the center square were a different color, too.... Maybe I should have had more coffee yesterday!!!!!!!! LOL

Beth, You could have just cut 4 squares at 4 1/2" instead of the 18" strip. I have a tendency to look at the picture more than the directions when I question what is written. I know, I'm bad......and have trust issues. lol And, want to do it my way. :-)

I am sure that when I did those blocks, I did as Sharon did. I usually 'do it my way' too.

Don't we all change the instructions a bit? Especially if we're trying to use up scraps. I can't wait to get home to make the April block.

Three of the four will find a new home. I couldn't believe everything actually came out looking like triangles. Very springy looking block.

I ripped it open and looked at all these beauties and was so surprised to see fabrics that I have in my stash. As they say "great minds think alike". Somehow we should be able to change that to "great quilters..."

Hopefully it won't take forever to put them together.

Worked on these beauties on the weekend. Top only, quilting later, I need thread.

I puzzled over colour for sashing, considered black and then thought it would be too stark. Tried a couple of greens for springtime growth. Nope! Tried a couple of pinks. Nope again. Finally hauled out this brown , so I am thinking spring flowers rising from the earth. The edges look wavy but they really are flat and square. Must be the carpet.

PS. Two blocks which were not used in the top will be used on the backing.

What color thread will you use?

I have some pastel variegated thread for the blocks. But I need some brown for the sashings. This is still in the test stage. Might change when the wind blows.
