Snowdrops

Thanks for the link, Steve.... they're beautiful! And they were also one of my mom's favorite small bulbs. To me, they signal spring because they're so optimistic and bright. Also love the Hellebores.

The photos are great. I love snowdrops because they're the very first to bloom -- even in the snow! Many of my snowdrops are up and blooming now even though much of my garden still has snow lumps.

I spent many years in England and we Brits are indeed extremely fond of them. Most gardeners there have some...or many... amongst the other spring bulbs. They may not be as showy as the colorful aconites, crocus, tulips, and daffs, but their delicate pale droopy blooms are just as lovely IMO...
