whats especially good is they introduce the possibility of many new colors. i'd work on adding a few clear-colored pillows and see how it looks.

Instead of the knee jerk TV console, perhaps something more on the furniture side? Not this finish but this style!

For an unsolicited opinion... I agree, I would take dried plant out of lovely vase. The left side of mantle needs a similar choice of color and texture of the vase to the right to balance. It's a wonderful room, I like the ottoman very much. Good luck.

I agree with Miacometlady that a furniture style TV console would finish off the TV wall. Lovely room!

Console needs to be 25% bigger than the tv. Try a long slender sofa table. You might also consider lowering the tv to about 6-8 inches above table. Beautiful room!

I agree with JudyG, move the glass sticks over the mantel instead of the mantel, and I agree with miacometlady, add a narrow furniture type console table, the width of the one on her post is perfect, but a little less decor than the photo shows, and lower the TV if need be. The vase looks better empty. Nice room!

You definitely need some type of console under the tv. Right now it looks like you had a big wall...needed a tv....then hung the tv. Then you had two empty spaces beside the tv so you decided to hang something there. You don't have to have something on every empty space on your walls.

Remove the dried arrangement in that vase. Have you thought of repainting the room as well?

The picture you posted with the tiny console...that's a huge no. It's not in any type of proportion in the space. The console has to be much more substantial than that. The above suggestions for this were great! In that pic it just looks like you had a table laying around the house and had an empty space below the tv so you put the table there.

The fireplace looks great. The mantle looks great. The crown moulding looks great. The furniture looks nice!

I like the glass/TV set up - together they look like a glass art instillation! And this despite the fact that I generally dislike TVs being visible in a room at all...prefer them hidden or absent. I think this set up downplays the TV-ness of the screen; conversely, a console will underscore the TV as the most important part of the room.

My thanks to all for your feedback. I moved the vase to the other side of the room (threw out the dried flowers too...thx...never thought of an empty vase).

I'm deciding against the sofa table idea. The room is small, so I prefer not to emphasis the TV on the wall. Hopefully, when the TV is off (most of the time), it won't be too noticeable.

I agree that the table is too big...but, that was a big mistake I made in the beginning...on the bright side...everyone can rest their tired feet on it from all seats
