We were just told that the fabricator our contractor wants to use will not cut any Giallo Ornamental into lengths over 100" with a cutout in it for the sink. Is this true across the board? In all my research I had not heard that GO is one of the granites with structural integrity problems.

Is there a rule of thumb as to maximum length in inches pieces can be with a sink cutout in it? I am told that the problem is the dishwasher to the left of the sink and a cutting board to the right if the sink will not support the granite properly.
