You might consider removing that curved section, and replacing it with a straight run of several more stock base cabinets with ceiling-hung stock wall cabinets above, which would almost double your current storage and prep space. Add a countertop to closely match your current one. You should be able to do this for around $1500, excluding labor.

Thank sooz001 but I can't do that. Directly to the left of this curved island is the door to the pantry. If I put in any type of cabinets straight out from the counter, I won't be able to open the pantry door.

Is the area under the counter open? If so, take the measurements & go to Ikea to see if you can get some under counter storage pieces (maybe on wheels even.)

You do have a number of cabinets plus a pantry, so if there are items you are not using, think about storing them elsewhere or giving away things, especially if you have multiples of items. You will not have enough counter space if you remove the breakfast bar, so if possible, replace it with a small island or cart. (see pic)

I also have a pie safe in my kitchen for storage. It would not fit in your kitchen, but there might be room in an adjoining room - so maybe a cabinet, hutch or pie safe in another room close by.

At the bottom of my basement stairs I had inexpensive shelves from stock lumber built. I put the small appliances I don't often use, the turkey pan etc. It's amazing how much is sitting in your kitchen that you don't use very often but really need to hang onto! Food for thought ( pun intended)

Just measure the interior length and get a white cabinet and fillers to install under it. Looks like you could use a 12" deep wall cabinet and just trim out the sides and bottom at the floor to build it in.

Or you could install open shelves and use for display worthy items.

Thanks for all the ideas. I guess the first thing I should do is check for duplicates and what do I really need. I'm guilty as everyone else on holding on to things I don't need. After that, I'll see what I need for storage. I like the open shelves idea and that shouldn't be to costly.
