Paint baseboard and chair rail the same as wainscoting?

I'd like to put wainscoting on the lower half of my dining room. I'd like to paint the lower half "toffee crunch" (the current color of the top). And paint the top half "English Channel" a blue. Should I paint the chair rail and the baseboard the same color as the wainscoting? Or leave them antique white? Thanks!

Have you thought about using the blue on the wainscoting on the bottom and keeping the the wall above the same "toffee crunch" color? The room can look top heavy if the darker color is on the upper half of the wall. If it's on the lower half, it helps to ground the room. I would probably paint the baseboard and chair rail the same color as the wainscoting.

The only time I like a two tone walls where one is dark and one is light is in a child's room, like the purple room.

If you like bold then to make it work, I suggest pairing it with a neutral white.

Drapes and other accessories can give you your hit of blue you like if you go toffee on walls! Or vice versa.

I need help. I have brown crown molding and rail road ties on ceiling. Painting wall, chair rail & lower paneling monochromatic taupe. Should the baseboard be same taupe or pop with off white ( alabaster) So does crown molding have to be same color? I was going to keep it brown w railroad ties brown on ceiling.
