Simple romans in linen. You've got enough going on in here with the focal point rug. I wonder if dog bed and urn/table in corner can go elsewhere and I'd do a simple low arrangement on the table. Also clear sideboard of lamp and picture. The room doesn't need to be stark but should I think be simple since the rug is so strong. Love the rug and wall color and trim is beautifully crisp. What are the paint colours, wall and trim?

Perhaps simple tailored Dupioni roman blinds in either an ivory or white or if you want more color, one of the deeper colors in your rug.

I would agree with broer, if you want the focal point to be the rug then go with something more subtle for the windows. A solid colored roman shade would be a good option, or something with a very subtle pattern or texture so as not to clash with the rug. I would almost do a brighter color for the shade though (not overpowering, but complementary), as the rug is currently the only pop of color in the room. All of your other decorations are more muted and elegant, while your rug is very bright and colorful. Your window treatment should tie the two together and help the room look more cohesive.

Your windows with the white trim are so beautiful that I would hate to cover them with much of a curtain. You might consider plain white cotton or white sheer tiers on a rod placed so that the top two rows of panes would be exposed. The plain white would let the colorful rug be the center piece of the room as it should be. This really is one of the prettiest dining rooms I have ever seen.

Easy! These faux silk panels. Perfect with your style and rug. Yummyyyy! Gosh..my monitor color is always off...if not this shade, something close that coordinates with your awesome rug. But, don't hide the windows. Hang the rod wide enough to have the panels hit the edge of the window, keeping full light and window view available.

Gorgeous rug! Where did you get it? I love the colours in the room but the blinds add too many lines. Take them out and put in simple Romans that will give you privacy if needed. Love the ceiling but the light does nothing for this amazing room! Lower as someone else said and simple hanging pendant/chandelier with or without shade..no dog bed of course! No lamp....keep accessories to a minimum to showcase carpet and make space look bigger. Take out small corner table and add low, long arrangement on table. Gorgeous job!

JudyG - that is an awesome statement chandelier! That is definitely bold. With that piece, I'd go for er612's pretty color green curtains.

What a statement piece the rug is in the room! It is beautiful! I like drapery panels on the side of each window. You could go 2 ways- light airy white sheers or a nice solid bold silk to pull out a color in the rug. If you wanted to add a little more wow to the panels, you could add an inset band of a contrast colors. I would do drapery hardware in a material/color that had a relationship to something in the space, but that didn't disappear against the paint color.
