None of the choices work well--try a light gray.

While I do agree that white countertops can brighten up a kitchen, I don't think that's necessary if you're painting them white. I prefer the right taupe/grey or middle countertop, as they complement both the backsplash and your existing flooring. Contrast between your cabinetry and countertop will help to liven up the kitchen from feeling too bland. The middle will give you more warmth during cooler months and gloomier days.

White on white with the backsplash as the "star". Will look sleek and timeless. Anytime you want to add colour you purchase a "counter top" appliance in the colour you want.

Whatever you do, don't go grey. I like the lightest choices.

Be sure to get an under mount sink for seamless look.

With the white/white combo I think either stainless or white will work. So, whichever you like best will be great. Stainless is pretty and will complement your appliances and faucet, but the white is fresh and will blend with the counter.

With the busy mosaic I have to agree white/white. I like white sinks but I think ss is fine too.

None of those chocies are right with your proposed changes, but you can't see that now, with the orange cabinets in your face. Which is why I suggest waiting until your painting project is done. Once you paint the cabinets white, your perception of it all will change.

I recommend painting your cabinets white dove and using black quartz for the counters.
