CFGI Pool Light Repair

Hey everyone I have 2 questions regarding a light bulb in my in-ground pool that I replaced. I was cautious to research the process in advance and make sure to turn off electricity at circuit breaker on house as well as next to pool and all went according to plan.

1. I'm a pretty cautious person so I still wanted to confirm something on here - the system is equipped with GFCI and a guy at the pool store told me even if water leaked into the housing, which it shouldn't given the new gasket I replaced, that the GFCI would for sure keep anyone from being electrocuted in pool as it would instantly shut off electricity if water reached the housing.

2. The light isn't super flush against the wall, maybe a little plaster or something. I was able to click the bottom hook in as well as tighten the top screw so it's not wobbling up and down, however it's not flush on both sides - I can kind of wobble it left and right. I wanted to confirm that this doesn't really matter, given that the entire housing is floating in water anyway. Water is supposed to get behind it to keep it cool and so it shouldn't be a problem, correct?
