Happy to have these suggestions because we are picking white color right now, too! Fascinating that white has so many facets to it. We painted our home Picket Fence from DE a couple of years ago and it is absolutely beautiful. Crisp and clean. I have been comparing Picket Fence and Droplets - DEW381 and they look really similar on my computer screen. I am going to brave it and go for Droplets DEW381. We are painting the interior of an old home that currently has a cream, off-white color that has become dingy and dirty looking so I am steering clear of colors with a yellowish tint to it - whereas normally I would be drawn to such warmer colors. Wish me luck! Fingers crossed!

By the way, has anyone used Dunn Edwards "Warm White". It looks - on my computer screen - like white, white. Wonder what the downside is to using something that looks to be so pure white.

In a house/building facing N - a ‘pure white’ paint will always have a tint of blue, look a very light blue - sadly!! regardless of hour of day or weather outside.

A Good Tip for those who don’t know.

probably found your answer already. For myself - the worst downside of a ‘warm white’ I found it to be the way it picks up the warmer tones from the surrounding objects.. especially from yellows, light browns and a travertine floor..

And that can happen with a colder white that’s a gray base, picking up the gray tones from the surrounding area..

So, if you find White to be a challenging color, rest assured you are not the only one. Even professionals find it to be so.
