Do you know about Chom?

Kathy Zimmerman Mueller

I am trying to help a group of people from Burma plant gardens here in Nebraska. They want to grow Chom. We cannot find anything about it on the Web. Does anyone know anything about this plant. I am not 100% sure about the spelling. We found Chom Chom on the web but they said that is not what they want.

It is probably Cha Om - Acacia pennata. But it is a tropical plant so it might be hard to get it to grow in Nebraska

Thank you for the correct spelling. That is exactly what I was looking for. While I can't find any descriptions of how to plant it or buy seeds for that matter, it does look like it will not be a good fit for Nebraska. Thanks again.
