I have a lot of perennials I'm planning to move this spring. I'm trying to decide whether to move some of them today or to wait. Right now, a few perennials are showing basal growth. Asters, Sedums, Chrysanthemums. I seem to remember recommendations to move them when they are dormant, but that seems problematic. The ground hasn't been ready to dig yet, so I couldn't have moved them already and they are already breaking dormancy. Second, it's hard to see where they are until they show some growth.

The weather forecast for next week, is in the 40s during the day but nights in the low 30s with one day at 30. Is it going to bother them to have to deal with low temps after just being moved? Or should I just wait until it warms up and they all start showing growth and move them then?
