Looks like a queen palm. These are heavy feeders and appreciate a good fertilizing regimen. Just as an fyi its better not to cut off palm fronds if they have any green left, they are able to re-absorb nutrients out of the leaves as they die back.

Thank you raomkrish! That is totally contradictory to what I've previously learned about my other plants, so it's good to know to leave the fronds on! As for the feeding, how often and how much would you recommend? I have read debates in other threads, and everyone has their own ratio for how much magnesium to use. As a complete newb it's rather intimidating and overwhelming to know which might be best. I am open to any and all advice!!
