It's a lovely house, but your house should reflect you and your taste. What design do you lean to that would help with what direction to go. Me, I would paint my door a bright color and the shutters a darker shade of that color.

What I think you really need is landscaping. You can get a landscape designer to design a plan for you, with plants for your zone, lighting, and soil; then you can do the manual yourself.

Your house has a great build to it and there's definitely much that can be done. As a shutter company, we think shutters need to look functional and proportional to the size of the window. That being said, the shutters on your bay window should be removed and the shutters by the door and on the second level should be wider.

as part of your landscaping plan, try to include a visible path to your front entrance. I must guess that people must enter your front door via a driveway that is not visible in the image.

as for paint colors, it is a matter of personal tastes.

I would use one of the apps from Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams to see how different paint color combinations will look on your home.

I think the first comment was spot on about landscaping. asymmetrical plantings or evergreen hedges around the home's foundation will help immensely.

as you move away from the house, i would use native plants and trees in your landscaping given the large frontage of your property. The design should look more asymmetrical and natural than planned.

From the distant photo shot, the colors look fine as is. The two columns on the porch look a little thin. Perhaps make those larger. I would concentrate on amazing landscaping. There is art involved in creating a unique plan for your property, so think about hiring a professional who can create a master design plan and who knows which plants will work in your area.
