Assuming it is hardwood, the range would probably be from $140,000 to $170,000 depending on glazing pattern, roof shape etc. It is very difficult to be precise without know the final design. That does not include foundation and interior flooring or HVAC

If you went with an aluminum frame unit it would be much less - at least in the U..S. I'm looking at them now and I am shocked at how expensive the wood conservatories are (bespoke or prefab) and then with wood they tend to fail (leak) after 10-15 years. If you use wood you have to be religious about maintaining heat, cooling and humidity. So you need to decide first how you are going to use it and how much time and money you want to spend maintaining it - because the wood is expensive to buy, install and maintain.

Similarly detailed buildings in aluminum are not that much less. You must be mindful of comparing apples to apples. There is a lot of "junk" out there. Wood is not a dire a maintenance cost as you comment. Our wood buildings have an aluminum clad roof, so it is not much different than maintaining wood windows on a home

Your point is well taken. My comment was based on what homeowners in the St. Louis area have indicated regarding the maintenance of their conservatory additions. One is very large and was bespoke from England. Others are semi-custom and both aluminum and wood (with aluminum clad on exterior). Wood tends to increase the cost of the conservatory by a substantial amount. After shopping conservatories, the price per sq foot range is $500-$1000 per square foot installed with lots of variables and I'm sure at the top end, that price can go even higher. I'm not sure how realistically you can go below $500 per square foot in the US if you have to also install a foundation. If I'm wrong, I'll contact you and let you bid on my conservatory addition. I'm just planning a Georgian conservatory addition off the kitchen approx size is 20 x 12.
