We had a beautiful custom headboard and bench made for my teenage daughter. The designer we used did not complete the bed with a proper frame but instead had us buy a standard metal frame on rollers. It seemed like a cheap option, especially after what we spent on the headboard and matching bench. After a while, our daughter found the standard frame on metal rollers was annoying as it was unstable and noisy during the night.

We are now wanting to find a proper frame but to have one custom made is over $2000.

Any ideas for alternatives?
