We can speak based on the technical specifications data received from the lab that Travertine is actually less slippery when wet. The dampness creates extra friction that allows the foot to firmly grip the surface when walking.

Don't seal it though. I have heard if you seal it. It will make it slippery. Although I heard that sand could be added to the sealant to make it less slippery.
