Are you saying that is inside the house or some other structure? A picture or some discription of the damage would be helpful.

It is standing inside on a shelf facing south.

To me it looks like some kind of catapillar damage. Has it spent time outdoors? Whatever it is might be hiding in the potting soil and coming out to feed at night. I would say either try and catch it in the act and pluck it or try a Bt treatment and whatever general insecticide you might have.

That was also my first thought, but i couldn't find one in the upper ground. It has never been outdoors. The balcony door is only open sometimes but I do not suppose they will crawl this far. The only insecticide i have is calypso from bayer.

Calypso is not listed for tomatoes but it is a pretty wide spectrum insecticide. I would give it a shot. Might be hard to mix that small of an amount unless you have something premixed. Really kind of an odd infestation. My only guess would be that something did either crawl in or fly in and deposit eggs or contaminated soil.

I mixed it myself before. I checked part of the soil but can't.check all of it. I Just find it weird because none of my other plants has something while standing next tot it

I read something about weevils, although I don't see.any. Could this be t?

I'm not sure what kind of damage stink bugs can have. I found one in my attic where I start the seedlings sitting pretty as you please on a leaf. Down the toilet it went. I am not sure if they could do that kind of damage though.

I will just watch it for the night, i can just plant another seed. I just do not like it to spread to other plants.
