I'm looking at taking some cuttings of the roses at my Grandmother's house. She passed away last November, and the place is now for sale... meaning I will have one shot at this assuming the place doesn't sell before they bloom.

I have a green thumb with the vegetables I've grown on my balcony... but roses are a whole new ballgame and the only contact I had with them was deadheading and fertilizing as directed. Gran was amazing with roses... I wish I had the chance to pick her brain now that I'm closing on a house and have somewhere to put them.

Since asking her questions isn't an option anymore, what would you recommend for a comprehensive book that includes everything from taking/rooting cuttings, to prepping the soil, to care? I live in zone 5b/6a depending on the map you look at (MI, Great Lakes - I'd lean more towards the milder one). The roses have been there for 20+ years and I don't know the varieties....
