Can you wire any movement into the branch structure that is there? I agree the angle of the tree looks great...

Greenlarry...I have not worked with it...only admired a few online. This weeping one amazes me. I've again not worked with them. So I am unaware of the challenges of wiring them. Can you do the grow and clip method to help with ramification then? (I have a shrub in the yard...but, honestly never looked at it for bonsai material since it's a clump style) Where yours is far more interesting. I wish you success...it has great potential!

@cadillactaste, thats a fabulous looking forsythia, must be the weeping species (mine is the shrub variety)

Clip and grow is the way I do bonsai. I dont like wiring, only use it on rare occasions. Plus like I said, branches of forsythia are hollow and Im not sure they would take wire.

One thing I do is place the pot on its side so new branches grow in the desired direction
