Exterior paint color?

Exterior paint? Garage door? Front door/Entry way?
I'm here to ask the pros! This is my first time using Houzz, so I sure hope y'all will help me. Our home is in Austin TX. What exterior paint color do you recommend? Obviously the stone will stay the same. Then, what color do I paint the garage? I would also love a 'statement' color for the front door or entry way. I'm a visual learner. If you know the specific paint colors please list or attach photos. I love a cottage feel or pottery barn type look, but I'm unsure if I can pull it off with this stone. Your garage door dominates the facade of your home and deserves a statement door. The stone is beautiful. Perhaps pull the darkest tone from it or go darker and pick that for your paint. If you need an example, then I need a close up of stone! Smile.

I might paint the trim whiter and the siding slightly darker than it is now or maybe almost the same.

I'd match the window color (white) & paint all trim including what looks like a wide area around the windows white.

Rest of house, down spouts and garage = match a color you find in the stone.

Door black.

Similar to the house below but you do not have shutters, window boxes or the gray area over the bay window.

I'm loving the idea of the wooden garage door! I actually already contacted someone to give me a quote. Here's another pic. We haven't closed yet so I'm limited in my photos! I realize this picture isn't much better. I'll take more next time we are over there! Thanks so much!!

I also love the idea of doing lighter gray for entire exterior of home, then do darker trim, just even one or two shades darker for trim and garage then black front door. What do yall think about that?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to afford a statement garage door at this time so I will just have to go with painting.

Go back and look at the garage pic I posted! It features a very pretty green which looks great against the stone that is similar in tone to your stone. I know it is daunting. Why don't you spend a Sunday driving around and look for paint combinations you like. Take a picture! Be bold, knock on their door and ask for paint colors. I would think a majority of people would be flattered! Sometimes it is easier to see a house you admire in person and copy it, than from a picture on an IPad that we post to you! Good luck!

Finally found something we like! Would love to hear what you all think! Which would you choose? I love the edgecomb for siding, white dove for trim, and nickel or reddish color for front door. Our roof is brown with a hint of red so I thought that may match best. Would love to hear your thoughts!
