I really like Delphiniums, as they add a tall aspect to the border, not to mention the great blue tones. I have seen them growing really well much further north than here in my Providence area. I saw them in Montreal and Maine, to name a couple of places, and they looked great. So it's certainly not a question of climate or winter cold, but for some reason, they just don't seem to like it here. My soil is fine, since I grow many of the most familiar perennials without any problems. Has anyone here had any experience with them, good or bad? I'd just like to know how they do in some other New England gardens.
